Club Basics:

What is Model United Nations?

The Model United Nations is a program set up to allow high school and college students to debate current topics that could be discussed in the actual United Nations. It is basically a simulation of the United Nations in which students follow all of the rules and procedures of the UN. They attend conferences where they discuss decided issues at different schools in an attempt to earn awards for their research and presentation skills.

Model United Nations is a great opportunity for all students to learn about their world. Model United Nations is a great tool for learning. Students, over the course of a year, will learn to debate, they learn the foreign policy of not only the U.S. but also that of many other nations, and what is going on in the world.
