Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to speak French or take a French class to be in French Club

   • No!  All you need is an interest in the French language and culture- No classes or speaking skills required!

2. If I join, do I have to attend every meeting?

   • No, it is highly recommended, but you do not have to.  However, officers must attend all meetings

3. Does it cost money to join French Club?

   • It costs $10 to join- this money covers food and other expenses for the club.  The new policy at Troy High requires you to pay $35 online to participate in any clubs this year, this money does not go to the club.  Some activities (like seeing Phantom of the Opera) do cost money, but they are optional and attendance is not required.

4. Where is French Club held?

   • Room 140 Mme. Fortuna's classroom.  It's directly across from the student drop-off entrance.

5. When are the meetings?

   • You need to listen to announcements because we have not selected a permanent day of the week to accomodate everybody's schedules.  The next meeting is normally announced outside room 140.
