SAT

The SAT test is a college entrance exam that assesses high school students’ general education development and their ability to complete college level work. The test is made up of three subtests that cover the areas of mathematics, English,  and writing.  Typically this test is taken by students who are planning to apply to highly selective colleges out of state. Most juniors take it during their junior spring.

Students who excel in a subject area may also choose to take a SAT subject test covering a variey of different subjects.  The subject test is usually taken after a student has developed mastery in a subject.
