Demon Diary

Demon Diary - Art by Kara, Story by Lee Chi Hyong

It should have been an easy enough of a job, honestly. All Eclipse had been charged to do was to find the successor to his deceased lord's lands and groom him to be a proper demon. However, when he finds the new Raenef to be a bright eyed, happy young lad... everything goes downhill. The boy is nothing but a public embarrassment to him, and it is too much to ask for, for him to become a proper demon lord. In fact, the most Eclipse can find himself hoping for is for Raenef not to go around helping people.

For the most part, Demon Diary is a light hearted series of unlikely characters living together under unusual circumstances, all charmed by Raenef's kindness and innocent charisma. The characters are addictive, the story alluring, and the art unspeakably beautiful... even if it is hard to decide whether or not Raenef is honestly a boy, and for the first book the fact Erutis is a girl has to be taken on faith. The seven books of the series are well worth the money, though I wish the story had just been a little bit longer. The characters are so easily loveable, it is hard to let them go.
