WILD (Women in Leadership Database)
This site is "a portal to unique scholarly resources about women's leadership found in selective archival and manuscript collections at Rutgers University." The site features a searchable and browsable database and a digital gallery of selected books, brochures, posters, correspondence, photos, audio, and video. The Aspen Institute
Founded in 1949 with a focus on "great books" discussions intended to broaden executives' minds, the Aspen Institute has gradually expanded its charge to become an informal leadership think tank for "CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, leaders of high-tech companies, diplomats, city leaders, [and] world-renowned artists and writers." The site describes the institute's seminars, policy programs, conferences, and other initiatives. Also find publications on energy, the environment, the economy, globalization, and children and families. Searchable.

Greenlining Institute
This California organization is dedicated to policy research and advocacy to improve the "quality of life for low-income and minority communities" by focusing upon leadership, investment, development, campaign finance reform, health, and consumer protection. Visitors to this site may find annual reports and policy recommendations. There is also information about their leadership academy and other programs.

African National Congress (ANC)
Web site of this "national liberation movement....formed in 1912 to unite the African people and spearhead the struggle for fundamental political, social and economic change." The site includes copies of speeches and documents, biographies of the party's present and past leadership (including Nelson Mandela), archives of its publications, and information about its structure. The ANC is allied with the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU).

This site covers a range of presentation skills needed to be an effective communicator, covering topics such as the speaker's voice, body, nerves, habits, and many simple, effective tips and techniques. Free Management Library

The mission of the this Canadian organization is to advance "policy recommendations on international trade and investment, economic policy, climate change, measurement and indicators, and natural resource management to make development sustainable." The site features news and publications on a variety of topics including business, energy, communities, livelihoods, knowledge networks, leadership, and more. Searchable.

John Gardner: Uncommon American
Devoted to a "leader, activist, author, and reformer" from California, this site includes a biographical/career timeline; selected speeches and excerpts of writings; information on Gardner as Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW); and Gardner's role in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Medicare, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and Common Cause. The Long Walk of Nelson Mandela
This companion site to the PBS "Frontline" episode "tells the story of the man behind the myth, probing Mandela's character, leadership and life's method through intimate recollections with friends, political allies, adversaries, and his fellow prisoners and jailers on Robben Island where Mandela spent 18 of his 27 prison years." Includes a transcript of the show, a chronology, interviews, anecdotes, commentary, and a teachers' guide.

National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education (NCWGE)
This organization is "dedicated to improving educational opportunities for girls and women. Our mission is to provide leadership in and advocate for the development of national education policies that benefit all women and girls. This site provides information on our coalition; current activities; updates on relevant federal education legislation; useful resources; and NCWGE publications." Publications include Title IX at Thirty, a report on the federal law which prohibits sex discrimination in federally-funded education programs.

Nonprofit Good Practice Guide
This site offers "articles, standards of practice, resources, and glossaries" for nonprofit management. United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA)
A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, "UNA-USA's main objectives are to teach Americans about the U.N., and to encourage support for strong U.S. leadership in the U.N." The site includes fact sheets on the United Nations, policy papers, educational resources, information about United Nations Day and other outreach activities, news and action alerts, and related resources.
