The ACT PLAN (pre-ACT) test is
administered during the fall of a student's sophomore year. This test is given at Troy High School to all 10th graders on a set day during the school day.
The test results include an estimation of how well a student will do on the ACT during their junior year. Taking a practice test gives students an opportunity to practice taking a timed, nationally normed test.
While taking the test, students also fill out an interest inventory that will provide a career component using the World-of-Work map. This can help students in choosing a career pathway.
Counselors will help students to interpret their results at a meeting that is held once results are obtained.
