Articulation Agreement - 4 year Colleges & Community CollegesBenefits to students: Save hundreds or thousands in tuition
and earn degree sooner. Students can receive college credit for high school course work that would be duplicated at the post-secondary level.
The Troy School District, in cooperation with certain community colleges, have developed a TECH-PREP program where students can qualify for advanced standing by receiving community
college credit while still in high school.The mission of TECH-PREP is to provide a comprehensive model for the preparation of students for a changing technological world. A primary goal is to
smooth the transition from high school to college, from college to employment, and/or from high school to employment.
How does a student receive community college credit for high school classes? (For example purposes Oakland Community College will be cited). While in high school, the student
would participate in one of the THS approved classes/programs

OCC, Baker College & Ferris
4. Business Ownership, Keyboarding, Word Processing,
Computer Exploration, Office Administration, Accounting OCC, Ferris & Baker College 5. Parenting/Child Care
-Athens 2 hr block class OCC and Ferris

OCC, Ferris and Baker College
If a student successfully completes the high school class with a "B" or better and the teacher certifies that the student met the required class components, paperwork is submitted to Oakland Community
College. The student takes the next course in sequence at OCC and successful passes the OCC course then OCC will issue community college credit for the course taken through Troy Schools.
