A.  www.fafsa.ed.gov- Free Application for Federal Student Aid
         Begin applying Jan. 1st of senior year.  Deadline is March 1st.  Apply for:

            -- grant money,
            --loan money from Government- at a lower interest rate than a bank
            --most colleges require you fill out this form, to be considered for free grant money from the college

B. www.michigancollegeguide.com -- Cut and paste the link into your address line.
     Listing of Public and Private colleges in MI.  The guide gives you costs, admission requirements etc
 

C. Edline-- www.troycolts.org   If you don't know your log in code, see Mrs. Issac in the Media
      Center.  Your Report Card is stored under My Contents,  (grey menu box)  Then Click "Private Reports"
      click "View"  MP1 Report Card.   Scroll down to see Culumative GPA.  Colleges use your GPA to decide if you
      meet their admission requirements.

www.troycolts.org seniors find helpful.   Newsletters and Guidance Office Updates list when the
          college reps are in the building and when scholarship deadlines happen.

 Ewww.fastweb.com- free scholarship search site.  Google unique characteristics about yourself to find
      scholarships. 

F.  THS has a "Scholarship Book" that is handed out for free to parents and students who attend Senior Parent
      night in September of Senior year.  (Books cost $2.00 if you want to buy one and didn't go to this event see Ms. Brubaker
      in Counseling office.)  Please note, there are many more opportunities out there for students that aren't listed in the book,
      The Scholarship Book is a clearning house of information when an issuing organziation sends THS their mateials.  Many scholarship
      organizations don't send us their information, so we can't list an opportunity for you if we were never sent the information.
      The Scholarship Book is a beginning resource but not the only resource for you to use.
