Hello! My name is Michael Webster. Thank you for taking the time to visit my web site, I hope it is helpful.
My background is different from most teachers. I graduated from
Central Michigan University in 1982 with a B.A. degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. For the next 16 years I worked in the private sector, mostly in the field of sales. Even though I was successful and enjoyed
sales, I always wanted to teach. So at the age of 39 I completed my student teaching at Troy High and began my teaching career in 1999. I spent my first year teaching at Athens and have been at Troy High ever
since. I received my Masters' in the Art of Teaching Mathematics from The University of Detroit Mercy in 2001. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Oakland Community College.
My family includes my
wife Patty, our son David who is twelve and in seventh grade. We also have a yellow lab Riley and make our home in Troy. |
