Transition Services

Transition Services are provided to all students with disabilities beginning at the age of 14. Transition services are defined as a “coordinated set of activities for a child with a disability that facilitates the child’s movement from school to adult life and includes the development of skills in the areas of employment and adult living, daily living skills and community participation”. Transition services are integrated activities and supports that, not only provide academic support, but also help students achieve the greatest degree of independence as possible.
